What Is a Dry Type Transformer and Why Does It Matter?
A dry type transformer is a static electrical machine that transfers energy between circuits through mutual induction, with the core and windings cooled and insulated by air or gas rather than by oil. The windings are protected by solid insulation, most commonly an epoxy cast resin in the SCB series or a polyester resin applied through vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI).

What Is a Dry Type Transformer?

It is the default specification for indoor, fire-sensitive, and environmentally restricted installations.
